Nicosia

Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus. It is the only large town in the interior of the island. It is often described as a "cosmopolitan centre of business and culture" and is regarded as the main shopping area in Cyprus. You will find traditional shops selling ceramics and embroidery alongside larger fashion stores.


Prices are generally lower than anywhere else in the EU. There are also many bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

 

Nicosia is surrounded by 16th century Venetian walls and boasts many churches, museums and medieval buildings, linking the town to its past.

Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa is in the South Eastern corner of Cyprus and is a hotspot for holidaymakers looking for a 'lively' time. The town is approximatley twenty minutes from Kiti by road and is served by a regular bus service from Larnaca town.


Ayia Napa is known as the party capital of the country with its varied nightlife.

 

Ayia Napa also boasts a string of golden sandy beaches, including; Cape Greco, Konnos Bay, and Nissi beach.


Water sports are well catered for around Ayia Napa, these include; windsurfing and scuba diving.


The town is also bursting with shops and markets and has a number of historical and cultural attractions, including 'Waterworld' water park.
