Lefkara

Lefkara is a charming Cypriot village. It has all of the traditional Cypriot features including narrow cobbled streets and stone houses with red tiled rooves. Lefkara is 35km from Kiti and is world famous for its lace-making and silverware. The lace is known as 'Lefkaritika' and you can still observe the local women sitting in doorways, practising their craft.

It is said that Leonardo Da Vinci bought lace here in 1481.

The House of Patsalos is the lace and silverware museum of Lefkara which provides a fascinating insight into past Cypriot life. You can also find some fantastic examples of local lace work here.

Pyla

Pyla is approximately 25km North West of Kiti.

Pyla is a unique village in that it has a mixed community of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot residents.

A local beach is nearby which offers a range of sports and amenities. The village is also popular with hikers and cyclists due to the close proximity of a pine forest. Trips are available from the village to Northern Cyprus.

One of the main attractions is the tower in the central square which plays host to a variety of cafes and other amenities. Visitors are often keen to visit two places of worship in the village; the Greek Orthodox church and the Turkish mosque.
