Mazotos

Mazotos today is a quiet community of 1,200 residents. The village has a significant local market and is famous for its fresh vegetable produce and cheeses. Mazotos also hosts a museum which houses the work of Costas Argyrou.

Mazotos boasts a famous camel park. Duing term time, many local schools use the park to teach youngsters to love and respect animals.

Camel rides are available, with longer 'safari' rides to the nearby beach. The camel park also has a swimming pool, restaurant, souvenir shop and amusements.

Zygi

The busy little fishing port of Zygi supplies the twenty or so speciality seafood restaurants in the village, as well as the outlying regions. An illuminated 130 metre pier, previously used to load carobs onto waiting ships for export to the continent, is now used solely for mooring the village's many fishing boats.
